The Jewish Community of South Orlando will unite at The Dr. Phillips Market Place for the annual Grand Menorah Lighting and Celebration this Sunday, Dec. 5, at 4:30 p.m.
There will be Chanukah craft stations for children, new activities ranging from horse-and-carriage rides, live performances from Power Skip, the Mr. Shabbos Jewish Jazz band and the Chabad Hebrew School children.
Hundreds will then gather round the large outdoor menorah as it is lit under the night’s sky.
The performance will begin with “The Jewish Jazz” from New York and be followed by a “Power Skip” show.
“Many parents make sure their kids don’t miss this great event each year,” said Rabbi Yosef Konikov.
Everyone is welcome. Chabad of South Orlando is sponsoring the event, and the menorah is sponsored by Brett, Max and Victoria Kingstone.
