This book, enlarged and expanded from the original 1981 Ten Speed Press edition, is designed for those students wishing to start a business while still in school, as Kingstone did. Although students are the target audience, this is also recommended for housewives and full-time employees seeking to run a small business in their spare time. Kingstone describes the processes involved in establishing a business–researching the market, writing the business plan, financing the operation, and administering the company. Case studies of student-run establishments are provided. Of value to readers are the sample forms and a listing of Small Business Administration’s Management Assistance publications. The bibliography would have been enhanced by addition of more recent sources. Recommended as supplemental reading for college students. – Lucy Heckman, St. John’s Univ., Jamaica, New York
